Addressing the discrepancy in access to mental health resources.
While mental health is gaining increasing value , there remains a big gap in access to mental health resources across different communities, leaving many struggling in silence. In the US, Chinese speakers don't seek help as much as others: people feel ashamed to ask for help, and it's hard to find therapists who understand Chinese culture.

As a therapist-turned product designer, I’ve been passionate about combining my expertise in both mental health and design to solve people’s mental health needs through design & technology. With this in mind, I co-founded Ripplet to address the mental health gap in the Chinese-speaking communities.

As we brainstormed Ripplet’s mission, we realize that what we want is more than just an one-time solution - we want it to be an ongoing initiative to help Chinese speakers talk openly about mental health and get the support they need.
